Frequently asked questions

How does the Shopify App Detector work?

SellerPeek compares public storefront signals—such as app blocks, scripts, HTML markers, and browser globals—with its supported app signature registry. The free tool returns matches stored in the latest indexed analysis.

Can it find every app installed on a Shopify store?

No. Server-side apps and apps that leave no supported public storefront signature may not be detectable. Results should be treated as a useful visible subset, not a complete installation list.

Is it safe to check a Shopify store?

The tool returns information derived from public storefront signals already available in SellerPeek’s index. It does not access Shopify admin accounts, customer records, orders, or other private merchant data.

Why might an app be missing from the result?

An app may run only on the server, load after a specific interaction, hide or change its public signature, be removed after the latest index time, or not yet be covered by SellerPeek’s supported registry.

Does “no apps detected” mean the store uses no apps?

No. It only means the latest indexed analysis contained no app signatures currently supported by SellerPeek. The store may still use private, server-side, newly installed, or unsupported apps.
